A useful investigation should explain where the funds originated, how they moved, what assets were exchanged, which addresses or clusters are relevant, whether the funds reached identifiable services, and where the trace ends.

Just as important, the analysis should distinguish verified facts from analytical inference, and it should be built around the decision it needs to support: preserving evidence, obtaining records, making an agency submission, supporting a victim claim, identifying a defendant, or weighing the cost of litigation. We build it around that next step, not as a standalone report.

Because the work is directed by counsel, it can be structured for how it will actually be used, to support attorney work-product protection, to meet the evidentiary expectations of the forum, and to stand up if it is ever challenged. A vendor’s report documents the chain; attorney-directed forensics are built to hold up with an exchange, an agency, or a court.
